13 Affirmations for Losing Weight

Affirmations for losing weight can be very beneficial.

 

What are affirmations?

 

Affirmations are positive statements to say that help someone overcome negative thoughts or speak something into existence.

 

 

What is an example of an affirmation?

 

An example of an affirmation is: “I am enough.” (cause you are, sis!)

 

 

Why do we use affirmations?

 

Affirmations are used to reprogram our subconscious minds, to persuade us into believing: 

 

→ certain things about ourselves,

 

→ what is going on in our life &

 

→ what is going on in the world. 

 

 

What is the subconscious mind?

 

The subconscious mind is the part of our mind that makes decisions without us even having to really think about it.

 

It is where our true beliefs live. 

 

When we make a decision, and it comes naturally, that is a decision based in the subconscious mind. 

 

Repeating affirmations is helpful for changing our beliefs because after so much repetition, the subconscious mind will eventually be like, “Okay. I get it. This is what we believe now.” 

 

& the subconscious mind will accept it as truth. 

 

It sometimes can take A LOT of repeating. 

 


So definitely be patient!

 

 

 

Affirmations & Losing Weight:

 

It is absolutely possible to use affirmations for losing weight. 

 

When you think about what contributes to weight gain, it is mainly overeating/eating unhealthy and not exercising. 

 

Breaking it down even further, what you are consuming and putting in your body, is the main reason for weight gain (unless it is medically related). 

 

Your habits stem from your subconscious mind.

 

The way we eat and what we consume is a habit.

 

Therefore, our subconscious mind, in part, is responsible for what/how we are eating. 

 

We can change our beliefs and also our habits through the repetition of affirmations.

 

How?

 

Simply by repeating affirmations using the CORRECT wording. 

 

We must ALWAYS say our affirmations in the present tense.



We always want to embody what we want in the now, even when we don’t yet have what we want. 

 

We want to say words like: 

 

“I am…”

“I have…”

“I believe…”

“I love…”

“Xyz is…”

“Thank you for…”

 

& remember, repetition is key.

 

 

Affirmations for Losing Weight:

 

1.  I am constantly developing healthier eating habits.

2. I let go of all negativity that rests in my body and mind. 

3. I think positively and naturally lose weight.

4. Everything I eat nourishes and strengthens my body and mind.

5. Making small changes is becoming easier.

6. Losing weight is natural for me.

7. I love exercising regularly.

8. I eat only when I feel hungry.

9. I adore the taste of healthy food.

10. I love and care for my body.

11. I easily choose healthy snacks over junk food.

12. I am a disciplined eater.

13. I eat balanced meals every day.

 

Repeat these affirmations in your head or out loud everyday and see how your mindset changes and eventually how your body changes. 

 

Remember, phrasing and repetition are super important!

 

Be patient with yourself and embody your affirmations.
